A man page is a page from a UNIX OS documentation manual. Man pages
can represent an entire manual (sans dog ears) on-line and, although
originally developed for UNIX useage, are now appearing as on-line
hypertext for other systems and products (for example, the Volkswagon
owners manual). Good on-line man pages
permit searches by keywords or sections.
